So, who is the HoneyBee Celebrant

It's only fair that I tell you a little bit about me, as I want you to share interesting facts about yourself or a loved one, to help me write the perfect ceremony, so here goes...

I am Sharon, living with my family in northeast England, where my roots are firmly placed.  Until recently, our steer was our beautiful rescue spaniel 'Hunter', whom we would venture out with on walks amongst our rolling countryside, expanses of shoreline and vast estates of medieval castles.  He showed unconditional love daily, and his loss was one reason I started my new journey to become a celebrant.

I still enjoy exploring the region, but I love home life and socialising with family and friends while putting the world to the right accompanied by an occasional 'G&T' and a splash of humour... you can't beat a good laugh!

I'm a fan of watching a bit of a 'drama' at the theatre, a good 'flick' at the cinema or music at a 'gig', but I also like the tranquility of time at home, dabbling in arts and crafts, exploring family ancestry through genealogy, reading great fiction books or the challenge of mind-boggling jigsaws. My garden is my sanctuary where I often produce my best ideas for a ceremony script as I potter away.

Over 30 years of working in the public sector made me realise that meeting and listening to people's everyday life stories, often finding solutions for problems they encountered, I found rewarding. With first-hand experience of dealing with many interesting, challenging and sometimes bizarre situations people found themselves in and supporting those most vulnerable in society at a time of need, I developed an extensive set of social skills.

These skills stand me in good stead to understand that momentous life ceremonies can be overwhelming and daunting and require a Celebrant who is confident in their ability to support and deliver, so believe me when I say... "I've got you!"
